ACACIA SWEETHEARTS

We credit Acacia’s success to not only the Brothers who came before us, but also to the families and friends who have stood by us. This holds especially true when speaking about our rich history of exemplary women who have supported our organization. Acacia sweethearts have come to be known as some of the most dedicated and loyal individuals our Brothers have come to call friends. A sweetheart is elected by the Brothers to serve as the female face of the fraternity. But more importantly, she is a trusted friend and supporter of the organization. We are extremely proud of all the woman who have in the past, and are currently, representing our fraternity.

Acacia Fraternity is an amazing organization that is truly hard to describe in words – it’s a feeling. It’s a feeling of belonging, of pride and of brotherhood that is so personal to the organization that it’s hard to verbalize. Acacia is a home that extends far beyond a fraternity house, and honestly, far past your time at a post-secondary institution. Brotherhood is for life, and I am so lucky that I have gotten a chance to get so close with this amazing group of gentlemen who embody leadership, class and human service. Beyond a doubt, this organization will continue to grow and reach new heights, and I am so excited to see what the future holds for my favourite group of gentlemen.

Acacia has had a big influence on my life since first joining Xi Delta Theta. From mixers and philanthropies, to a lavalier and Sweetheart letters, this organization has helped define who I am today. The actions of Acacia within the community, including the University and Greek communities, exemplifies the drive, dedication, and consideration they have to better themselves and Ottawa at large. These men live by their creed and truly honour the brotherhood they have built on human service, scholarship, and leadership. I have the privilege to be associated with some of the most kind-hearted and supportive individuals I have had the pleasure of meeting, and am honoured to have shared some of my best memories with them. Acacia  Fraternity’s Carleton chapter is and always will be the best fraternity in Ottawa.

Acacia Fraternity is nothing short of exceptional. Their brotherhood is one of the strongest at Carleton University, and that is because of the amazing brothers. Whether in class, walking in the tunnels, at a philanthropy event or a mixer, the brothers always displayed their letters with pride. During my time at Carleton, the brothers of Acacia became my family and supported me through all the ups and downs of university life. Years later they remain some of my closest friends and I continue to wear their letters with pride. I encourage you to rush Acacia Fraternity; you won’t find a better group of men to call your brothers.

Acacia came to be a major love of my life while attending Carleton, and has kept a significant place in my heart ever since! We have been there for each other since the day I met them and still are to this day, over 15 years later! This is a unique group of strong, honest, fun loving people who embody the true meaning of brotherhood! The gentlemen of Acacia Fraternity were my best friends and they will continue to be a part of my family forever!
